Welcome
Welcome to the New Jersey Division of Taxation NJ WebFile program.

NJ WebFile is on a secure website and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you qualify to use NJ WebFile or one of our other FastFile options (and most taxpayers do), join the thousands of New Jersey taxpayers who file their returns quickly and easily and receive faster refunds.

For a complete listing of the eligibility and system requirements visit our website at http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/pcfile/njwebfile.shtml. Listed below, for your convenience, we have provided some important notes that you need to know if you plan to use NJ WebFile.

Important Notes:
  • Please have a copy of your prior year NJ Income Tax return available as information from that return is needed to access the NJ WebFile program.
  • NJ Webfile can be used to file full-year resident income tax returns only. (Part-year and nonresident returns cannot be filed through NJ Webfile.)
  • To use NJ WebFile you must be using Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, or Netscape 7.0 and above. This web site is best viewed in Internet Explorer. Mozilla FireFox is not supported at this time.
  • For proper viewing in Internet Explorer 10, please select the Compatibility View option next to the Address bar at the top of the browser.
  • Do not use the navigation buttons on your browser's toolbar. If you select the BACK or FORWARD buttons, your information may not be saved and you may have to fill out the appropriate form(s) again. Instead select one of the navigation buttons at the bottom of each section to navigate through NJ WebFile.
  • If your computer is idle for 30 minutes or more, your session will "time-out" and you will lose all of your information. Please keep this in mind.
  • Set your computer display resolution to 800 x 600. If your resolution is set below 800 x 600 then it will be necessary to use scroll bars throughout the application.

You are filing after the Tuesday, April 15, 2014 due date. You may be subject to
penalty and interest on any tax you did not pay by Tuesday, April 15, 2014 .
